WhatsApp Is Testing ‘Delete for Everyone’ Feature On Android and iOS

Popular messaging app Whatsapp is currently testing a feature that will allow users to delete messages they accidentally sent. The new feature according to WABetaInfo known as ‘Delete for Everyone’, will allow you to quickly delete messages before the receiver has had a chance to read them.

The feature will allow you to recall or unsend texts, images, videos, GIFs, documents, quoted messages and even status replies within a five-minute window. Currently being tested on Android and iOS devices, the receiver will get a message that reads “This message was deleted.”

While this feature has been around on other service like Telegram, its still unclear when WhatsApp will be rolling out this feature for all users. In an announcement the company noted that it is testing new tools through a closed pilot program that will allow people to communicate with the businesses they want to reach on WhatsApp.
